Our daily round-up of news around the comics space, from the gutters and beyond.
“According to our source, Fox were given the TV rights for X-Men in exchange for Fantastic Four. The deal’s been in the works for some time, we’re told, and further, the timing of Marvel’s recent announcement of its movie slate leading up to the year 2020 and the X-Men TV series is no coincidence.”
[Update: This rumor has been squashed, but I’m leaving this as is because it lets me talk the Captain Marvel movie] Okay, great. A Marvel Fantastic Four movie. All I care about is what does this mean for the Captain Marvel movie? (Do I even believe it’s going to happen anymore?) This is how I feel at this point:
Pretty certain any reaction I have to anything MCU nowadays boils down to "will Captain Marvel get postponed?"

“Written and drawn by Womanthology’s Renae De Liz, with inks and colors by Ray Dillon, the series will focus on Diana’s life from before she left the island of Themyscira for “Man’s World” through her claiming what DC describes as “her ultimate destiny” as the Justice League’s warrior princess.”
I don’t really know what to think about this. I love more Wonder Woman but are they redoing her backstory again?
“Inspired by the unusual, odd-ball, and downright funny characters of The League of Regrettable Superheroes, these names should get you started creating your own heroic backstory and sense of vigilante justice.*”
My name: Professor Shield Goat. I’ll take it I guess?
