33 Life-Changing Books: Today in Critical Linking

In honor of International Women’s Day, Women’s History Month, and all women everywhere, we asked the all-volunteer staff at VIDA to tell us about the books that changed their lives.

I like lists like this one of 33 Life-Changing Books that are compiled from a bunch of different people. In this case, a bunch of awesome people.

Bigelow, fifty-eight, is not a professional publisher, author, or critic. He’s a self-appointed custodian of obscurity. For much of his career, he worked as an I.T. adviser for the United States Air Force. At his home, in Brussels, Belgium, he spends nights and weekends scouring old books and magazines for writers worthy of resurrection.

It gives me great reassurance that there are people out there going back through the lost and forgotten books and seeing what maybe we should remember.

If you bought an ebook between 2010 and 2012, Apple might owe you some money.

Payouts will range from $1.32 all the way up to $6.50. That’s not small change if you did any significant book buying through Apple in those years.
